Quando fazemos uma pesquisa na internet sobre como divulgar nosso trabalho (quando somos autônomos), encontramos várias dicas para criar um portfólio e demonstrar o que já fizemos. Mas tome cuidado, tradutor!!! Muitos dos trabalhos que fazemos são confidenciais e não podemos mostrá-lo.
Então, como fazer para “aparecer” e divulgar o trabalho?
Além de todas as dicas já dadas nos posts “Como começar minha carreira como tradutor?“, “5 dicas de como se organizar para conseguir clientes” e “Como começar a conseguir trabalho?” vou dar mais uma dica: Crie uma página na web.
Você que já está trabalhando ou quer trabalhar como autônomo, precisa estar sempre em busca de novos clientes (afinal, sem cliente = sem trabalho = sem dinheiro). Quanto mais informações sobre você e sobre a forma como faz seu trabalho o cliente conseguir, melhor.
Quando criar a sua página, apresente sua marca pessoal! Se possível, resuma, em apenas uma página, toda a informação sobre o seu trabalho. Caso um cliente queira mais informações, ele terá uma ideia de como você trabalha, saberá em quais empresas já trabalhou (para ter mais referências), etc. Caso queira colocar algum perfil de redes sociais, utilize somente os que forem de uso profissional. Evite colocar Facebook ou Instagram, se você as utiliza para postar informações pessoais (como fotos sua na praia, na frente do espelho ou meia dúzia de abobrinha que você falou pra “zuar” um amigo). Dê preferência, neste caso, pela LinkedIn, Empreendemia, Twitter, ou a que você mais utiliza profissionalmente.
Se não sabe por onde começar, deixo a dica de alguns sites como o flavors.me e o about.me, que são especializados em fazer um currículo online.
Você também pode criar uma página como um blog usando o Blogger, WordPress, Wix, ou qualquer outro de sua preferência para postar informações relevantes sobre você e conteúdos que possam interessar um futuro cliente. (Estou dando dicas de ferramentas gratuitas, mas você também pode comprar o domínio e ter uma página mais profissional, usando o Hostgator, por exemplo.)
Lembre-se que o importante é ter uma marca pessoal, e uma página na qual você possa refletir a sua maneira de trabalhar.
